ピルスナータイプで、カラメルモルトを使用しているため、深みのある金色のビールに仕上がっています。


The beer is brewed from lager, Muenchener and karamelmalt. The latter gives beer a golden colour as well as the characteristic kalamel flavour and a slight sweetness.

クモの絵があるグロテスクなラベルのこのビール、なんの関連性があるのかわかりませんが、ハーブビールの部類です。小麦麦芽、ホップの他に、柑橘系果物のポメロン（セビリアオレンジ）とタイムを風味付けに使用しています。


I'm not sure why a spider is drawn on the label but it seems grotesque. Enkens Anden Lyst is categorized in White beer but including Pomerans and thyme.

DMZに近いとある場所に展示されていました。見るだけとはいえ、かなりレアな物を拝見しました。

The beer is exhibited at a Museum near DMZ. Produced in North Korea. Just looking and I could not try them but actually rare beer.

Phantom local beer in Japan -Unzen Yuagari Beer-

4月にプライベートで長崎へ行きましたが、目的の一つが、雲仙旅の麦酒館訪問でした。しかし、廃業したようで、関連商品のレトルト麦酒カレーの販売のみでした。
お店の方のご厚意で、閉店しつつも店内を見せていただきました。
現在、日本の地ビール探訪中ですが、このように見つかる前に消滅していく地ビールもあるのでしょう。

It was one of my purpose to visit to Unzen Local Brewery in Nagasaki on my private trip, however, it has already been closed.

Fortunately, I could have a look the beer hall thanks to the staff's consideration.
I suppose local breweries may be disappeared before encountering.

The root of label design is...-Kirin Lager Beer-

キリンビールは日本を代表するビールですが、このラベルのもとになったのが、この彫刻です。また、ラベルのキリンに太い口ひげが描かれていますが、キリンビール社の前身であるジャパン・ブルワリーの社長であったグラバーの口ひげをもとにしたといわれているそうです。


Talking of the most famous Japanese beer, it's Kirin Beer.
This sculpture perhaps inspired the label for Kirin Beer, which features a "Kirin" with a bushy mustache like Glover's. Mr. Thomas Blake Glover was the president of Japan Brewery Co., Ltd. which developed into the present Kirin Brewery Co., Ltd. I think it is similar to the Carlsberg's elephant story.
