ベルギーとの国境近いフランス北東部にある家族経営の小さな醸造所の上面発酵タイプのラガービールです。
フランスはワインの国ですので、ビールはあまり種類もなく、ボトルも小さく、時にはあらかじめジュース類で割られたカクテル的な扱われているのかと思いきや、北に行くほど大びんになり、ビールの地位は高いものになっています。


Brewed by a family-owned company, found in 1919 in Dounai, where is the north-eastern region of France which borders Belgium.
Talking of French beers, they are bottled in the small size bottle and not so many brand unlike Belgium and Germany etc. What is more, sometimes, cocktail style beer which is mixed with something juice are sold at stores in France, BUT the more north in France, the higher status and bigger size bottle.

CH’TI from France

ドーバー海峡に近いベニフォンテーヌの地ビールです。チティはビエール・ド・ガルド（ベルギー風エール）の部類に入り、かつては、この界隈で多く働いていた炭鉱夫をラベルにプリントし、地元産業に敬意を表していました。
チティのアンバーは、世界の100選ビールに入り、チティのブロンドで、カスレテン醸造所の名声は不動のものになりました。


CH'TI is a local beer brewed by Carstelain Brewery in Benifontaine. CH'TI is categorized in Biere de Garde. The label of CH'TI was printed coal miners with a tribute to local industry.

CH'TI Ambree was selected among the 100 best world beers in the worl "Die 100 Besten Biere der Welt" by Michael Rudolf and CH'TI Blonde is the beer that earned the Carstelain Brewery its renown.

La Royale from France

グルメの国、フランスです。フランスと言えば、ワインを連想する方が多いと思いますが、ビールもこよなく愛しているに違いありません。そうでなかったら、食事をする場所をブラッセリー（Brasserée）と言うはずがありません。このブラッセリーはビアホールとか醸造と言う意味も含んでいます。このRoyaleは私がフランスのビールで一番好きなものです。しっかりした味でバランス良い仕上がりです。それではしばらくフランスのビールの話が続きます。


Talking of France, many associate French wine, but I'm convinced that French love beer as well. Otherwise, it cannot be called "Brasserée" for the place to have a meal. "Brasserée" also stands for Beer Restaurant and Brewery. La Royale is my most favorite beer of France. Well, shall I start to introduce French beers?

Lapin Kulta from Finland

ラップランドの金と言う名前のこのビールは、フィンランドを代表するメジャーなビールです。今はハートウォールというメジャーの傘下で、世界中に販売されています。余談ですが、輸出用は”Lapin”の文字を削除しています。フランス語でうさぎを意味するため、混乱を避けるためとの事。話は変わりますが、フィンランドの伝統的なビールにサティがあります。ホップの代わりに、西洋ネズの木を使用しますが、入手はなかなか大変なようです。


Lapin Kulta, which means The gold of Lapland, is a majour beer brand in Finland. It is under the umbrella of Hartwall and exported to all over the world. Lapin Kulta drop the "Lapin" for the export market in case people acquainted with French think it has some connection with rabbits.

It is brewed out of the fresh and wild waters of Lapland together with malt, un-malted cereals, hops and yeast. The taste is almost water and pure.

A. Le Coq from Estonia

エストニアを代表するビールです。19世紀にイギリスのポータービールやスタウトビールをバルト三国に広めたベルギー人のアルバート・レコック（Albert Le Coq）にちなんで命名されました。ソ連時代に国有化されましたが、ソ連の崩壊、バルト三国独立後に民営化されました。画像のような非常にユニークな形のボトルでも目を引きます。このボトル（画像）は2004年当時のもので、今はウェブサイトに掲載されているような普通の形状ボトルになっています。


The Tartu Olethas Brewery has reverted to the name of A. Le Coq on its bottles and labels to commemorate the Belgian Albert Le Coq, who imported British porters and stouts to the Baltic State in the 19th century. It is unique bottle shape, which is called Club-shaped bottle. It is no longer such shape but the common bottle shape now.

Skibsøl from Denmark

デンマーク語でølとはビールの意味。よって、ビールと思って購入しましたが、アルコール度数は0％。ノンアルコールかと思いきや、飲んでみて一口ではきだしてしまいました。漢方薬の様な味でした。ちなみに、Skibsとはデンマーク語で船の意味。船のビール？まったく、この醸造所の意図するビールには理解に苦しむものが多いです。


さて、長く続いたデンマークビールもこれでおしまい。次回からは別の国に進みます。

クレンケルップ醸造所は由緒あるクレンケルップ・エステート（クレンケルップの館）と地元コミュニティーが何世紀にもわたって育んできた独自の製法で造られたビールです。


Beer from Kerunkerup Brewery is brewed using Danish malting barley and according to the German purity law from 1516. A special dogma way of brewing using only water, malt, hops and yeast. This means that you will not get any added enzymes, e-numbers, additive added colour and sugar. Danish quality using nature's best.

この醸造所ははっきり言って変なビールを作っています。これも、ビールと言うよりは炭酸入り紅茶の様な味でした。ピルスナーとありますが、大きく疑問に感じるビールでした。Egensはデンマーク語で炭の意味。意味不明なビールです。

Mikkeller from Denmark

双方ともMikkellerの文字がありますが、醸造会社は異なります。前者（Mikkeller DSB）はベルギーの地ビール会社、De Struise Browersで、デンマークのMikkeller社とのコラボで生まれたビールです。
DSBはDe Struise Brouwersの略で、フルーティーな香りで苦みも後から効いてくるいいビールと記録しています。
Mikkeller All Others Paleは本家デンマークはコペンハーゲンのMikkeller社のものです。
Although the both of beers describe "Mikkeller", the brewery is not the same. The former one is brewed by De Struise Brouwers (DSB) from Belgium, that's why Mikkeller DSB. The latter one is brewed by Mikkeller from Copen Hagen, Denmark. I noted the both are nice beers!
