ドイツ南部バイエルンの街、ケンプトンの地ビールです。白ビールの部類ですが、乳酸菌並行発酵により酸味が強く、大麦と小麦をうまくブレンドした麦芽の香りはすばらしく、バランスの取れたおいしいビールです。

Local beer of Kempton, south of Bayern. It is categorised in white beer but brewed with lactic-acid bacteria fermentation, so strong sour taste. Also the flavour of mixed malts of barley and wheat makes very good balanced taste.

Aventinus Weizen Eisbock from Germany

ドイツで”強いビール”と言えばボックビールなのですが、そのボックビールでも、とりわけアルコール度数を高めるため、醸造所で凍らせる手法で造られるビールをアイスボックといいます。氷点ではアルコールが凍らない特性を利用し、ビールが凍り始めた段階でその氷部分を取り除くと、残った液体はアルコール濃度が高いものとなります。ウォッカや、ドイツのアイスワインと同じ論法で造られる高アルコールビールです。このアヴェンティヌスアイスボックは上面発酵が終了すると、タンク全体の温度を下げて氷結させ、表面の氷部分を取り除きます。これを2週間繰り返し、非常に丁寧な製造方法のため、少量生産しかできない貴重なビールです。

Schneider's Aventinus strong wheat beer takes its name from Aventine Strasse in Munich, where the brewery had a bottling store. The connection has been upgraded and the label now shows the image of Johannes Aventinus, historian of Bavarian people.

ボックビールはドイツでは体を温めるビールとして飲まれるアルコール度数高めの強いラガービールです。ドイツ語でボックは山羊の意味があるので、往々にしてこのように山羊の図柄が使われるものが多いです。

旧東ドイツ北部の街ダルグンの地ビールです。設立は1991年と比較的新しいですが、古い伝統的な手法でビールを造っています。それもそのはず、この地では1172年にデンマークの修道僧達が最初のダルグンビールを造っていました。

The Darguner Brauerei is located in Dargun, Germany. The brewery was founded in 1991, continuing a centuries-old brewing tradition. Already in 1172, the Danish monks were down here and brewed the first Darguner beer.

Genuine Queer Beer from Switzerland

QUEER BEERとは”水っぽいまずいビール”の他、”同性愛者”の意味があるスラングで、この奇妙な名前のビールは、このブログに書くまではドイツのビールと思っていましたが、実はスイスで、ゲイコミュニティ（ゲイバー等）のためだけに生産される欧州で初めてのビールです。”水っぽいまずいビール”ではなく、ドイツのビール純粋法で醸造されたりっぱなラガービールです。
私がなぜこのようなビールを入手したのか記憶がないですが、ゲイでないことだけは確かです。
