Grolsch from The Netherlands

オランダのビールといえば、ハイネケンが有名ですが、ご当地では高級ビールとして人気高いのがこのグロールシュです。設立は1615年ですのでオランダ国内でもかなり古く歴史ある醸造所です。グロールシュは世界に向けての販売も積極的ですが、オランダ国内販売用は茶色のボトル、輸出用は緑色のボトルで分けています。
様々な種類がありますが、私が一番感銘受けたのはヘット・カノン（大砲）です。その名の通りアルコール度数は11.6％！
オランダ駐在当初、まだビールにハマる前、街中の広告デザインの良さ、そして、キンキンに冷やして飲むラガーしか知らなかった私にビールの世界をノックさせたのがこれです。

Talking of Dutch beer, Heineken may be the most popular and well-known brand. But according to Dutch people, talking of high quality beer brand, it is Grolsch, which is one of the oldest brewery in The Netherlands.
Now, Grolsch is well-known world widely and the brewery is positive to export to many countries, more than 50 countries in the world. It can be recognized that Brown colour bottles for Dutch domestic use and Green colour bottles for export use.
There are several kinds of beer style in Grolsch and my most favorite is Het Kanon, which means The Canon in English. It is 11.6% alcohol with fruity flavour. I thought beer is lager type only at that time but thanks to Het Kanon, I could knock on and open the door of beer world!

I found out the ad in the town in Dec. 2003, and I tried it because the ad was very nice performance. It is a little bit fruity taste and also good balanced taste.
