ル・バラデンはイタリア北西部ピエモンテ州のクーネオピオッツォにある小さなビアパブから始まりました。日本では下記の4種類のみの販売ですが、実はイタリアでは30種類もあるそうです。
醸造所に隣接したビアパブは今はホテル併設でビールを楽しみながら滞在できるCASA BALADINとして営業中。
行ってみたいなぁ。

Le Baladin is one of craft brewery in Piozzo, north west of Italy. 30 kinds of beers are launched and there is a hotel "CASA BALADIN" which juxtaposed with brewery and beer pub.

Wührer from Italy

ウムラウトがあるスペルなのにイタリアのビールです。オーストリアのザルツブルグからブレシア（北イタリアのミラノとベネチアの中間に位置する）に移ったフランツ・ビューラーが立ち上げた醸造所。既にご紹介したモレッティ、ポレッティ等々、イタリア北部には現在でもオーストリア、ドイツのビール文化を受け継ぐ醸造所が残っています。これは、20世紀初頭までイタリアではなく、オーストリア・ハンガリー帝国に属していた歴史的な流れが背景にあります。ドイツやオーストリアから北部イタリアに醸造化が多く流入してきたことが影響しています。

The Wührer is the one of oldest Italian brewery, which was founded in Brescia by Franz Xaver Wührer in 1829. He moved from Salzburg to Brescia.
There are many breweries which succeeded the culture of Austrian and/or German beer in the north of Italy. It is because the area was not belong to Italy until the beginning of 20 century but belong to Austria Hungary Empire and many brewers moved from Germany and/or Austria.

Dreher from Italy

ドレーア（Dreher）と言えば、19世紀に欧州で生まれた4大ビールのひとつであるウィンナービールの生みの親として有名なアントン・ドレハー（Anton Dreher）氏を連想します。今はハイネケンの傘下でありますが、設立は1773年。イタリアはまだ統一前でこの付近はオーストリア・ハンガリー帝国が幅を利かせていた時代です。よって、このドーレアも元々はオーストリアの醸造所でした。やがて1870年代にトリエステ(その後、オーストリアからイタリアに併合される）に移り、現在に至ります。
ハンガリーにも同じブランドのビールがありますが、元をたどれば一緒かもしれませんが、現在はまったく別の醸造所です。

Dreher was originally an Austrian brewery, founded by Anton Dreher, inventor of Viennese style beer. Dreher expanded to Hungary and ultimately to Trieste, then also part of the Austria-Hungary Empire. Although the brewery has been brewing beer since 1773, they only moved to trieste in the 1870's.

Ichnusa from Italy

地中海に浮かぶサルデーニャ島のビールです。イクヌーザ（Ichnusa）とは、その昔、フェニキア人がサルデーニャ島を呼んだ名前です。フェニキア人はその島をブーツにたとえられるイタリアの足型に見立てたようで、イクヌーザもまさに”足跡”という意味です。
そんなビールですが、初めてこのラベルを見たとき、私は日本の焼酎”いいちこ”を連想してしまいました。

Castello di Udine from Italy

カステッロ・ディ・ウッディーネは1997年設立の新しい醸造会社で、名前は、醸造所がある城（ウッディーネ城）に由来します。
先述のイタリア大手醸造会社モレッティ社が所有していた施設でビールが造られています。
イタリアにありがちなすっきり飲みやすいラガータイプではなく、どっしりとしっかりした味のものやイギリスのエールを思わせる風合いのビールを造っています。

Castello di Udine was established in 1997 and the name derives from the name of castle in Nogaro. The brewery utilizes the modern facility which Moretti owned in order to brew beer.
Unlike typical Italian lager beer, it is full body taste or British ale taste.

Peroni from Italy

イタリアご当地で一番知られ、売れているのが、このペローニです。そのペローニのプレミアムブランドがナストロ・アズーロで、イタリア語で”青いリボン”を意味します。1933年にイタリア国籍のオーシャン・ライナー、レックスがブルーリボン賞を受賞した栄誉を記念して名づけられました。
いずれも、南欧らしい、すっきり飲みやすいタイプでキンキンに冷やして飲みたいラガーです。

Talking of Italian beer, Peroni is the most well-known there. Nastro Azzurro was launched in 1965 and it means "Blue Ribbon" in Italian. It was named for commemoration of Rex, Italian nationality ocean liner, which awarded Blue Ribbon prize in 1933.

最終回の4回目分届きました。女性（妻鳥奈津子さん）が造るホワイトビールとあって、どんなのか
期待しながら飲みました。
爽やか！
とにかく爽やかなこの白ビールは、ニュージーランドのネルソン・ソーヴィンというホップを使用したフルーティー（鼻から抜ける香りがブドウのよう）ですっきり飲みやすいすばらしいビールでした。
9月から毎月1回配達されるプロトタイプのビールで楽しませていただきました。
来春オープンのスプリングバレー楽しみです。

Fix Hellas from Greece

日本でギリシャビールと言えば、ミソス（http://beer-a-holic.blogspot.jp/2014/07/mythos-from-
greece.html）が有名ですが、実はこのフィクスが今年2014年が創業150周年のギリシャで一番古い歴史あるビールです。数々の賞を受賞し、かつてはギリシャ市場を独占したフィクスですが、その後、衰退し、オリンピアビールがフィクスブランドを2010年に復活させました。
暑いギリシャにぴったりな、キンキンに冷やしてぐっと飲みたいビールです。
ビール好きであることが功を奏し、会社の仲間がギリシャのお土産に買ってきてくれた日本では貴重なビールです。

Talking of Greece beer, Mythos is well-known brand but the Fix is the oldest brand in Greece, which was established in 1864. It was awarded at so many contests but declined after that. Fix was re-launched by Olympia Brewery in 2010.

麦のワインは19世紀のイギリスが発祥とするれっきとしたビールの1種です。

寒冷でブドウ栽培ができなかったイギリスがフランスワイン人気に嫉妬して造ったと言われています。

ビールでありながら、ワイン並みのアルコール度数を持ち、ワインのように年単位での長期熟成が可能です。

当時は大麦麦芽を主原料としたバーレイワイン（Barley Wine）1種類だけでしたが、1980年代にアメリカで小麦麦芽を主原料としたウィートワイン（Wheat Wine）が誕生しました。

麦芽、ホップ、水、ビール酵母を膨大な量使用し、極限までアルコール度数を高め、通常の6倍以上の熟成期間を経て完成させます。完成までかかるコストは並大抵ではないため、日本ではほとんど作られない貴重な国産クラフトビールです。

ボジョレーヌーボー解禁日にあわせて販売開始されるところまで、ワインに対抗意識を持っています。

Willy prototype #01 from Japan

第2回分のWillyが届き、早速試しました。
1回目の感動（http://beer-a-holic.blogspot.jp/2014/10/496-prototype-01-from-japan.html）が強すぎたのか、意外にフツーのピルスナーでした。
しかし、1杯でもしっかりした満足感とまた飲みたくなる云々とマイスターのコメントを読んで納得。だからそのような仕上がりにしたんだなと思いました。
このビールは来春コープランドという名前で登場予定のプロトタイプとのこと。また、コープランド（1870年に横浜でスプリングバレーブルワリーを立ち上げ、初のビアガーデンを開催したノルウェー系アメリカ人で、この跡地に後のキリンビールができた）の名前からマイスターの気合の入りようがわかりますね。

Trying Willy, the second time distributed beer. It is Pilsener type and will be launched as Copeland in early spring 2015. Talking of Copeland, it is the name of guy who was a founder and established Spring Valley Brewery in Yokohama, Japan in 1870 when was just after Meiji Restoration to be Modern society from Feudal society in Japan.

496 Prototype #01 from Japan

第2次地ビールブーム（クラフトビールブーム）ですが、大手ビール会社も指を咥えて見ておらず、ヤッホーブルーイング社との資本提携（www.kirin.co.jp/company/news/2014/0924_01.html）に加え、自社でもスプリングバレーブルワリーブランドを立ち上げ（www.kirin.co.jp/company/news/2014/0716_01.html）、話題を呼んでいます。
4回にわたって納品されるワクワクするビールの未来をつくるプロジェクトで第1回分が届き、早速味わってみました。
この496プロトタイプ#01は、能書き通り、既存のどのビアスタイルにも属さない革新的なビールです。
エールのような豊潤さ、ラガーのようなキレ、IPAのような濃密なホップ感。まったく同感です。ワイングラスで香りを楽しみながら飲みたいビールです。
次の第2回分（10/下）が楽しみです。

Birra Moretti from Italy

19世紀に欧州で生まれた四大ビールといえば、コクのあるミュンヘン・デュンケルで有名なバヴァリアビール、かつては上面発酵タイプでしたが後にドライな味の下面発酵淡色ビールに変わったドルトムントビール、ピルスナースタイルのボヘミアビール、そして、ラガービールスタイルのオーストリア、ウィンナービールです。
このウィンナービールの生みの親がアントン・ドレハー氏で、後の1860年代に北イタリアに醸造所を立ち上げます。
イタリアと言えば、ワインを連想する方が多いと思いますが、実は、最近、クラフトビールもいろいろ立ち上がってきています。
ともあれ、イタリアのビールと言えば、この金色の口髭を蓄えたおじさんがトレードマークのモレッティが有名ですね。北イタリアのベネチアがあるフリウーリ州に設立されました。当時はイタリアでなく、オーストリア＝ハンガリー帝国の領土だった時代です。今はオランダのハイネケンの傘下です。

Talking of European Big 4 beer after 19 century, there are Bavalian, Dortmunder, Bohemian and Wiener. Wiener style beer was developed by Mr. Anton Dreher and he established a brewery in the north Italy in 1860's.
Talking of Italy, many of them associate wine, however, small crafts breweries are being established recent years.
Anyway, talking of Italian beer, Moretti, whose trade mark is a gentleman with golden moustache is one of famous beer.

イタリアビールとして、ご当地でもあまり目にしないというメナブレアビールです。
2種類アップしますが、今、改めて見ると、上の方がイタリア国内で流通しているやつで、下はイタリア国外のバージョンのような気がします。
コメントが同じで、すっきり飲みやすいタッチだからです。
個人的な見解です。

Duvel Tripel Hop 2014 from Belgium

今春にアメリカンIPAにハマって以来、アメリカ産ホップを意識しています。
このデュベル　トリペルホップは3種のホップを使用した限定醸造ですが、毎年3つ目のホップを変えています。今年のホップはアメリカ産のモザイクを使用。ぶどう（マスカット）を彷彿とさせる香りのいいビールでした。

Westvleteren XII and St. Bernardus Abt 12

ウエストフレテレンは世界で10しか認定されていないトラピストビールの一つですが、醸造元のシン
ト・シクスティス修道院（ベルギー）のみでの販売で、しかも予約しておかなければならないレアなビールです（世界一のビールとも呼ばれます）。
そのウエストフレテレンは第二次世界大戦で修道院が破壊され、醸造不可能となり、復興するまでの間、ライセンス契約でビールを代わりに醸造していたのがセント・ベルナンデュス醸造所（ベルギー）です。
日本でも特別限定販売されたウエストフレテレンの最後の1本を後生大事に残しておいた中、オランダからの同僚よりお土産にアブト12をいただき、これは飲み比べをしなければと試飲実行。

やはり、本家（ウエストフレテレン）の方が味も香りも濃厚でしたが、飲み比べしなければ、アブト12もなかなか日本ではお目にかかれない修道院ビール（アビイビール）。いい時間を過ごすことができました。

Westvleteren is one of Trappist ale and brewed at Abdij Sint-Sixtus. It is actually rare ale because sold at the monastery only and should be booked in advance in order to purchase. Therefore it is called "number one ale in the world".
The monastery was destroyed in World war II period and could not brew for a while. In the meantime, St. Bernardus brewery brewed under the license contract instead of the monastery.
It was good opportunity to compare the taste of the both in this time because I had kept the last bottle of Westvleteren and my colleague in

The Netherlands brought the Abt 12 as souvenir.
On second thought, original one (Westvleteren XII) is more full-body and rich aroma & taste.
But Abt12 is also hard to get in Japan, therefore it was actually good time to enjoy Belgian Trappist ale and Abbey ale.

Forst from Italy

イタリアビールといえば、モレッティやペローニが有名ですが、私はイタリアビール22種類試した中で、このフォルスト（ドイツ語で森の意）が味がしっかりしていて、一番好きです。

オーストリアの国境近いチロル地方メラーノという地方都市の山のきれいな湧水で造るビールです。
ここはアルプスの麓で高冷地、リンゴの産地です。
この冷涼な気候を利用して夏季の花苗や穂木の産地でもあります。
また、バチカンのローマ法王の避暑地としても有名です。

ベルガモ空港からレンタカーでエッチラオッチラ山道を登って行った記憶があります。このフォルストは仕事が終わり、街中のスーパーで見つけたものですが、当然、イタリア語を解さない私は、カタコトのドイツ語でレジのおばちゃんにレジ袋をもらった記憶があります。
そうです、ここはイタリアでもドイツ語の方が通じるのです。

Talking of Italian beer, Moretti or Peroni are very popular, but my most favorite Italian beer brand is Forst which is brewed from spring water in Merano, Tyrol.
I used to go there by a rented car after flight to Bergamo Airport in order to visit to business partner on biz trip then pop into a supermarket and purchase the beer before going back.
I got a plastic bag at the supermarket with speaking German as I could not speak Italian.
Yes, German is more popular than Italian there because it is in Tyrol and close to border to Austria and Switzerland.

主なアイリッシュビール醸造のダブリンとキルケニーのほぼ中間に位置するカーロウにあるクラフトビール醸造所です。1996年設立と若い醸造会社で、創業者のオハラの名前を冠しています。日本ではまだ小売販売されていないスタウトです。

It is an independent Irish family owned business established in 1996 and one of the pioneers of Irish craft brewing. Located in the heart of Ireland's traditional malt and hop-growing "barrow valley" region which has strong historical linkages to the Irish brewing industry.
