先述のシュレンケルラのラオホビールと比較するとマイルドな初心者向けともいえるラオホビール（燻製ビール）です。リットマイヤー醸造所は家族経営の醸造所としては最古の部類にあり、ラオホビールの聖地バンベルクから南へ行った人口4,000人足らずのハーレンドルフ村にあります。

Rittmayer Rauchbier is also smoked beer which is more mild than Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier already introduced, thus for beginners. The brewery is a private brewery which was established in 1422 located in Hallendorf where is southern of Bamberg.

ビールをこよなく愛していると、時折幸運に巡り会えます。このビールは会社の同僚が「沖縄出張時のお土産」と買ってきてくれました。
「ニヘデ」とはそこの方言で「ありがとう」の意。「ありがとうビール」です。酵母入りで、泡が豊かですので瓶内二次発酵しているタイプと思います。しっかりした味で、すばらしいビールです。

Dark Brown colour beer with rich foam. It contains yeast because of no-filtration and I suppose fermentation after bottling. Nihede means Thank you in Okinawa dialect. Full-body taste. Nice!

Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier from Germany

ドイツはフランコニア地方の古都バンベルクは北のベニスと呼ばれる水の都でもあり、ここの特徴的なビールがラオホビールと呼ばれる燻製ビールです。大麦麦芽をブナのチップで燻したスモークモルトにして造られます。ラオホビールの代表種、エッヒト　シュレンケルラは本当に燻製の香りがする衝撃的なビールです。

Talking of Bamberg, it is an old city in Franconia district and called "Venice in the north". Also Talking of Bamberg, it is "Rauchbier", which means smoked beer, Franconian specialities. It is brewed with smoked malts, which is smoked by chips of beech trees. It is actually shocking taste and aroma.

Schultheiss Pilsener from Germany

シュルタイスは大麦麦芽と同等量の小麦麦芽を使い、アロマホップの代表種ハラタウトラディション種を使用し、発酵に上面発酵酵母と乳酸菌使用の本格派ベルリナービールです。

The Schultheiss Brewery blends equal amount of wheat and barley malts in the mash and use Hallertau hops. Top-fermentation and lactobacilli are blended together with wort that is between three and six months old to encourage a lively fermentation, which lasts for three to four days.

Gaffel Kölsch from Germany

ケルシュビールはドイツのケルンだけで造られるビールに許される名称で淡い色のビールです。上面発酵タイプですので、歴史的に古いタイプに属します。現地では食前酒として扱われ、一口サイズの細口グラスで供されます。ケルンには24種のケルシュビールがあり、このガッフェルは、1302年創業で、製造の70％が樽詰めビールという高品質なケルシュビールを醸造する地ビールブランドです。

The brand name, Kölsch, is allowed to use for beers brewed in Köln only. It is top-fermentation type. Generally, Kölsch is recognized as aperitif there and served by small glass. There are 24 Kölsch beer brands and Gaffel is private brewery, whose 70% of products is for barrelling beers, established in 1302.

Dortmunder Kronen Export from Germany

ドイツビールと言えば、ラガータイプと思われますが、実際、そのラガーという言葉はドイツでは使われないようです。へレス、ドゥンケル、ピルス等がそれに該当します。ピルス（本家チェコのピルスナータイプ）の代表格が世界4大ビールのひとつとされるドルトムンダーです。ドイツのドルトムントでクローネン醸造所は個人所有の（と言っても規模はデカいですが）醸造所です。15世紀頃より北ドイツのビールは品質が良く、輸出も盛んでしたので、長期輸送に耐えられるよう麦芽エキスたっぷりに醸造されたものは、特にエキスポートと言います。ドイツではエキスポートは「プレミアム」と解釈されるようです。

Talking of German beers, many people think Lager type, but in fact, the word "Lager" is not so common in Germany. Rather, "Helles", "Dunkel" and "Pils (or Pilsener)" are common. Talking of Pils type, it is Dortmunder, which is called one of  four majour beers in the world. Kronen Privatbrauerei is a private brewery but the scale is big. Beers brewed in the north of Germany used to be exported in 15 century because of the high quality, thus the beers were called "Export". However German recognize "Export" means "Premium".

Königsbacher from Germany

1689年創業、ドイツのライン河の畔にあるコブレンツの地ビールです。1992年よりカールスバーグ
（と言ってもあのデンマークの大手Carlsbergではなくて、ドイツのKarlsbergです）に引き継がれます。ブランド名は2010年初頭にドイツのBitburger社に売られています。ともあれ、気になるその味ですが、ともかく、ホップの苦味が効いた味と記録しています。

The Königsbacher Brauerei was founded in 1689. For most of the time, Königsbacher was brewed in the "Altes Brauhaus (=old brewery)" in the center of Koblenz. Königsbacher was taken over by Karlsberg, another Koblenz brewery (not Carlsberg in Denmark) in 1992. The brand became part of the Bitburger Group in 2010.
