It is black beer and bitter taste very much because it brewed of roasted black malt and oats with a broom-full of progress hops.

Crystal amber colour beer with rich foam. Typical British ale bitter taste but it is moderate and fruity flavour after that. It is brewed exclusive for Sainsbury’s.

Slightly sweet and nice fragrant then bitter after taste. It is organic ale which is brewed of organic barley malt from farm of Price Charles. 

Bar Sal's

田園都市線で世界一のビール！と謳うここBar Sal's（www.salscafe.com）さんは、5つのタップと常時70種類のクラフトビールを備えるこだわりのお店。

アメリカからのこだわりで見つけてきたクラフトビールはこれまで1,300種類のビールをトライしてきた私も見たことないものばかり。

お店の名前は単にオーナーさんが申年だから（ガクッ）らしいですが、渋谷にもCRAFTHEADSというお店を経営されており、このCRAFTHEADSとは「クラフトビール好き！」という意で、これはなかなかいい名前と思います。

ホップの香りと苦みの効いたビールですが、どちらかというとホップの香りが引き立ついかにもアメリカっぽいIPAでした。

志賀高原ビール　其の十　10th Anniversary Ale

Indian Pale Ale Alcohol 7.5%

志賀高原ビール10周年を記念して造られた酒米を使用したIPA。

上記のGoneAway IPAと比べ、こちらの方が苦みがガツンと効いていました。

Close Encounter Pipeworks Brewring, Chicago IL

Hoppy Stout Alcohol 7.0%

店長お勧めで在庫最後の1本の言葉に釣られてオーダー。ホッピースタウトは初めてのジャンル。ホップの香りが効いたスタウトで、IPAとスタウトを一緒にしたような感じ。いかにもアメリカっぽいチャンポンしたような感じのビールでした。

また、缶のデザインがいかにもアメリカチック。

一緒にオーダーしたチキン南蛮バーガーはタルタルソースを卵を茹でるところから始めるこだわりです。

決して安くはないですが、クラフトビール好き（アメリカの）にはたまらない店と思います。

The Caledonian Brewing Company from UK

駐在していたコペンハーゲンからLCCでイギリスのニューキャッスルに飛び、車でエッチラオッチラ北上してエジンバラまで行った際にゲットしたビールです。
このエジンバラでウィスキーの世界の扉をノックしましたが、ハマることなく、スコットランドエールを堪能しました。
3番目にあるスラロームストロングは今はもはや醸造されていないビールです。

I got them when I flight to New Castle by LCC then drove to Edinburgh, Scotland. Talking of Scotland, it is Whisky but I prefer Scotland ale to Scotch. :-)
Unfortunately, Slalom Strong is no longer brewed.

It is the ultimate Scottish Ale with a rich, strong flavour yet it is surprisingly smooth to drink. I don’t think it is not typical UK beer taste.

Slalom Strong

It is strong and amber colour beer with a little bit sweet flaver from Scotland. It is awarded The International Brewing, Bottling & Allied Traders’ Exhibition in 1976.

iBeer LE SUN PALM @ Hikarie, Shibuya

渋谷ヒカリエの7Fにあるこのお店はオリジナルビールが提供されるということで行きました。

場所がヒカリエであり、webではビ女会（ビール好きな女子の女子会）にピッタリな場所とあるので、それなりに覚悟して行きましたが、お客さんのほとんどが女性、しかも年齢が若い。奥さんと一緒でなければちょっと入るのに勇気がいります。

オーダーしたのは下記の2種類。

ヒカリ・エール No.6 ”柚子姫”

アルコール度数5.0％。

柚子皮の爽やかさと酵母由来のスパイシーさを楽しめるホワイトビール。

ここのオリジナルですが、醸造元は伊勢角屋麦酒（三重県）さんでした。

ブラウンエール

同じ、伊勢角屋麦酒さんのブランドでアルコール度数5.0％。

カラメルモルトの香ばしさと甘みが良いエールです。

Bass Pale Ale from UK

世界初の登録商標（1876年）「赤い三角マーク▲」で知られる英国伝統の上面発酵ビールです。銘水で有名なペールエール発祥の地、英国のバートン・オン・トレントで１９世紀前半に誕生。この地は、水にミネラルを添加調整し、醸造に適した水にする「バートナイズ」という言葉の語源となったほどの銘水地でもあります。また、ペールエールとは「色の淡い上面発酵ビール」という意味で、この当時の他のエールが、ダークブラウン（濃色）だったことに由来しています。

The "Red Triangle" on label is the first registered trade mark in the world (in 1876). Bass Pale Ale is top-fermentation ale from launched in the beginning of 19 century in Burton on Trent where the word "Burtnise" was created as the water in Burton on Trent is suitable for brewing. Talking of ale at that time, it is dark brown colour, while Bass is not dark but pale colour, that's why it is called Pale Ale.
