Bass Pale Ale from UK

世界初の登録商標（1876年）「赤い三角マーク▲」で知られる英国伝統の上面発酵ビールです。銘水で有名なペールエール発祥の地、英国のバートン・オン・トレントで１９世紀前半に誕生。この地は、水にミネラルを添加調整し、醸造に適した水にする「バートナイズ」という言葉の語源となったほどの銘水地でもあります。また、ペールエールとは「色の淡い上面発酵ビール」という意味で、この当時の他のエールが、ダークブラウン（濃色）だったことに由来しています。

The "Red Triangle" on label is the first registered trade mark in the world (in 1876). Bass Pale Ale is top-fermentation ale from launched in the beginning of 19 century in Burton on Trent where the word "Burtnise" was created as the water in Burton on Trent is suitable for brewing. Talking of ale at that time, it is dark brown colour, while Bass is not dark but pale colour, that's why it is called Pale Ale.
