Gulpener from The Netherlands

オランダ南部の都市マーストリヒト郊外のグルペン村にあるこのグルペナーは思い出深いビールです。グルペナーコーレンウォルフはオランダで最高の白ビールと謳っていましたが、それまで白ビールを飲んだことが無かった（忘れもしない2003年初頭です）私はあまりのまずさに全部飲まずに流しに捨ててしまいました。その後、ビールをいろいろ知るようになり、2007年に改めてトライしてみたところ、能書き通り、最高の白ビールと再認識したことを鮮明に覚えています。また、欧州駐在後期、日本帰国間近の頃、オランダからルクセンブルクに車で移動の際、ベルギー国境近いマーストリヒト郊外で、このネズミマークがでかでかと壁に描かれた醸造所を発見。立ち寄ればよかったなあと後悔が今も続いています。

Gulpener is local crafts beer in Gulpen village near Maastricht. There are several kinds of beer and my most memorial one is Gulpener Korenwolf. It is white beer type but I had not tried yet at that time ( it was in 2003!), therefore I could not accept and understand the taste, thus I did not drink all and threw to the sink!! Retrialed in 2007 when I returned to Japan and I realized it is the best of white beer. :-) It was in 2006 when I was about to return to Japan, I went to Maastricht then found out the brewery but I did not come by. It is still my regret.

It is not good. Pale, less carbonated and no taste for me nevertheless the best white beer in 2003.

Re-trial in 2007 and it is the best of white beer!!

Brown beer with strong carbonated. High alcohol. Best served at 8-10 C.
