Weltenburger from Germany

ウェルテンブルグ修道院は7世紀頃、南ドイツのケルハイムに創建されたベネディクト派の修道院で、西暦1050年にビール醸造を開始、世界一古い修道院醸造所です。

Weltenburg Abbey Brewery (Weltenburger Klosterbrauerei) is by some reckonings the oldest monastery brewery in the wrold, having been in operation since 1050, although the title is disputed by Weihensteohan Abbey.

Ancient Germanic peoples began the production of beer around the B.C. 6th century. The housewife were taking care of much house-working as well as production of beer at that time. As the pans which boil wort were necessaries, these pans had become bride's household effects or wedding gifts. By the way, the tavern which was called "Ale house" was getting popular in Britain in 9th century. Also, private brewing by housewife was prosperous. Housewife used to manage the ale house, thus they were called "Ale Wife". moreover, beer (ale) was used for celebration in the case of wedding. Did you know that "Bridal" is the word made combining "Bride" and "Ale"? 

Radeberger Pilsner from Germany

ラーデベルガーはドレスデン近郊ラーデベルグの地ビールです。ザクセン王フリードリッヒアウグスト3世やビスマルクなど歴史上の偉人達も愛したビールです。ドイツでピルスナービールとして最初に醸造され、今も現存するビールです。バランスの取れた、しっかりした味。後味も最高です。

Radeberger was founded as "Zum Bergkeller" in Radeberg in 1872. This beer was also brewed for a period for the King of Saxony. The brewery takes pride in the fact that in 1905, Radeberger Pilsner became the favorite drink of King Frederikck Augustus III of Saxony. It was the first brewery in Germany to brew beer exclusively in the Pilsner style and which still exists today.

Bitburger from Germany

ドイツ西部でオランダ・ベルギーの国境に接したラインラントは鉄道インフラができるまではチェコのピルゼン地方より河川輸送でビール原材料を調達してピルスナーを醸造していた地方です。
1817年にラインラントのアイフェル湖のほとり、ビットブルク（ここは、かのカール・マルクス生誕地の近くです）で、上面発酵のビールを造る小さな農家の醸造所として生まれたビットブルカー醸造所は、1884年までには湖の氷を活用して貯蔵できる、（当時新しい方式であった）下面発酵のピルスナービールを醸造し、プロシア軍の大砲輸送のために整備された鉄道インフラの普及の波に乗って、ドイツ北部まで”輸出”されるようになりました。今でもこの醸造所のオーナーであるサイモン家はピルスナー（Pilsner）をピルス（Pils）と省略表記した元祖で、ビットブルカーをビット（Bit）と単純表記し、さらに”Bitte ein Bit”（とりあえずビット）で国際的に名を馳せるまでになりました。

Bitburger is brewed in the small town of Bitburg in the Eifel Lake district, close to the historic city of Trier, birthplace of Karl Marx. The company was established in 1817 as a humble farmhouse brewery and made top-fermenting beers. But by 1884 it was producing Pilsner, using ice from the lakes to lager the beer. Its fortunes were boosted when a rail line was built to supply the Prussian army with cannon. The Simon family, which still owns the company, began to export its "Pils" to Northern Germany. Today it is one of the most widely exported German beers. 
The family shortened Pilsner to Pils and has won international fame for its beer with a product known simply as "Bit" and the slogan "Bitte ein Bit"-"A Bit, Please".

Becker’s Pils from Germany

元々はフランス国境のザール地方で最も古い醸造所の一つに数えられた地ビールでした。
（そういわれてみると、ボトルの形もフランスビールにそっくりです。）
今は大手ビール会社の傘下で商業化、輸出もバンバンされており、日本でも缶で購入可能です。

The brewery Becker was a brewery in St. Ingbert from 1877 to 1988 and counts to the oldest breweries in the Saar country. It is under the majour brewery and exported to worldwide.
